ATN Binox 4K Review

Recently I got a chance to work test out a pair of these Bad Boys from ATN.

First Impressions:

  • Why did I never buy binoculars before?

  • Is this what eagles feel like?

  • I have night vision now, how do I sign up for The Avengers?

Second Impressions:

There are a lot of really cool features built in to these Binoculars. Digital push display, makes zooming in close or zooming out to get your bearings super easy. The IR illumination makes it great to pick stuff out of the brush in low light conditions. It is honestly surprising how well they handle virtually no light. I had no problem scoping on the hills with the sun barely making an appearance in the early morning.

I’ll admit that I was hesitant at first about using an electronic pair of binoculars, worrying about the battery life and image quality were the big things that I was curious about right from the start. Battery charge seemed to last fine, plugged them in once overnight, then used them for roughly 5-6 hours the next day and never worried had to worry about losing power. The battery is rated for 15 hours of use, and with that amount of time they should also work for longer trips that the day hunt I tested. Image quality was also good. I didn’t have any problems with stability on image quality. Low light conditions will get you a grainier image as the camera has to boost the ISO to adapt, but it works with with minimum light and no image delay.

All in all, if you are in the market for a solid pair of electronic binos, these have you covered. The built in rangefinder alone made these more than welcome when trying to find a spot to sit out on a hunt.
